Joanas Guide Review
Joanas Guide is one of the oldest available. Initially it was just 1-70 leveling guide, but after some time it evolved into a full 1-80 guide. Actually it's 'guides' - the first one covers first 70 levels and the second is for levels from 70 to 80. It's comprised solely of horde leveling, which means if you an Ally then you're out of luck
Joana updated his guide and now it's ready for recently released Cataclysm expansion.
Very similar to Zygor Guide or Dugis Guide, joana leveling guide is purely a straightforward, step by step system that tells you where to get the quests from and where to go to do them. It's 100% ready for Wrath of the Lich King and as befits today's standards it includes an in-game add-on for both versions ( 1-70 and 70-80 stretch).

But does it work as it used to back in the days?

What It Clamis To Do:
Joana Guide is an easy to install step-by-step guide, with videos extensively covering each step of the game.
The product itself isn't just an in-game addon, but you get a lot of content - online HTML version of the guide that contains links to well-known wow databases, lots of videos and pictures for many of the quests. These pictures are very well mapped out showing you the exact quest paths, where all mobs are located etc.
Every single quest, as well as mobs and items are linked to wow databases, so if you find that there's not enough information about a given quest, just click the link to get more details.
It's based only on questing so grinding comes out of the question. As Joanas/Mancaw is speed runner and he established a couple of records in World of Warcraft, this guide allegedly shows the fastest way through horde quests to level 80. Everything is backed up with on-screen co-ordinates.
Author claims that both guides are updated regularly and there are free, future updates for members of joanas guide.
Joanas Horde Leveling Guide also comes with:
* Death Knight Leveling & Strategy Guide - showing you how to get quickly from starting area to level 80 how to play with this class, what to spend talents and which abilities to use. Videos are provided.
* Blood Elf Leveling Guide - it's also step by step guide, but it covers levels from 1 to 70 only.
By know you probably think this sound to good to be true. But is it?

What It Acutally Does:
Our extensive research into actual consumer performance results has shown that Joanas Leveling Guide is a decent one with pretty good strategy of how to level your character with horde quests.
As for leveling speed, our research into the wow community made it very clear that Joana's Guide is written especially for Hunters, therefore if that's the class you are playing, you can find yourself leveling very quickly. However, if you're not a Hunter, the leveling process may not be as fast as it's stated on his website.
But the quests selection is very efficient considering gained experience. You are told exactly what quest to get and what order to do them in, so it saves you a lot of time from running back and forth.
However, there were some comments raised in negative light - joanas guide indeed gives you the co-ordinates, but most of the time quests aren't detailed enough, in which case you are just told to watch a specific video to learn more - this considerably slows down leveling speed. Some users also found the videos and pictures to be unnecessary, because it requires to continually use alt+tab combination if you want to look at them.

Conclusion:
We wouldn't say that Joana's Leveling Guide is a MUST-HAVE as it once used to be, but it works and to be honest it works quite well.
If you're looking for a guide that would get you from 1 to 80 in a reasonable amount of time, you may consider getting it, it will be a good investment. If you do, however, take into consideration some of it's drawbacks like insufficient, in-game quests descriptions,
The bottom line is that a good leveling guide should take you from point A to point B in shortest time possible, and especially if you are a Hunter you may give it a whirl.
