Wow Leveling Guide
2 Crucial Ways For Fast & Easy Leveling
On average, typical wow player in America spends almost 33 hours a week playing the game.
What part of that you think is actually spent on leveling their toons? On developing them so they can level even faster? Are they using the best wow leveling guide there is?
I don't know the answer to that question. However, if you think it takes you too long to reach the highest levels, you better make sure you spend those hours efficiently. In this short and to the point wow leveling guide,we will discuss two core ways that are crucial to fast leveling.
First one is questing which nowadays is widely popular for gaining experience. The second one we are going to discuss is grinding. That's right. I know it's awfully boring, but there are ways to deal with that. And if properly executed, it really pays off.
Questing - How to make most out of it?
Questing is an essential part of any wow leveling guide. There is also no doubt that doing quests in World of Warcraft is one of the most efficient ways to level up. However, not everyone knows how to use it in the best possible way. Following are the best tips on questing.
Quest grouping. Many players fall the victim of basic mistake and they work just on one quest at a time. This is a waste of time and it doesn't get you anywhere. As soon as you enter new area - city, land, etc - get as many quests as you can. And then work on them simultaneously. Remember the golden rule, "whatever you do don't waste your time".
Additionally, don't hesitate do drop crappy quests. Meaning, if you realize that any given quests is inefficient based on time/experience ratio, leave it. It won't do you a bit of good, if you keep wasting time on such quests. This is a mark of a smart players - they know which quests to drop and when to drop them.
Beware of accepting quests which are intended for toons, 3 or more levels higher than yours. Elite quests are also not a good choice. If you choose to do such quests, make sure that your are a part of a group ( we will touch on this later in the text). Otherwise, it would be better to 'grind your way' to the required level and then do the quest. For example, if you're on level 16th and the quest is suited for level 19th toons, it may take you 5+ hours to close it. And you would still be on level 16th. Whereas, grinding the mobs which are couple of level below yours for those 5-6 hours, would get you to level 19th. And then you could easily do the quest in 1 hour. It really works, just use it.
Joining a group. WoW provides an enormous amount of quest. And a considerable part of them is best suited for groups of players. If you think that you can do them yourself it's probably right, but it would be very inefficient use of your time. Other solution would be to wait until the quest becomes green. However, the best way would be to find yourself a group you can join and finish the quest a couple of time faster. If you choose this path, look for groups that know what they are doing. There always is one to join, but stay away from the ones that screw around and actually get very little done.
Grinding - How to use it to your advantage?
There should be a place for it in every wow leveling guide. I know what your are thinking - "Grinding is a relict and it doesn't work anymore". Well, if you do it the right way, it may give you a huge advantage. Let's see then, how to make the most of it.
But it's boring. Undeniably, it's the biggest drawback, though you can deal with it in couple of ways. I bet you like listening to a music. So, turn on your favorite tune and it will be that much nicer. Grinding doesn't require full span of your attention, so make use of your TV set. Arrange it in a way so you can watch your favorite shows while grinding. Other ways would be to find a friend to speak or even better, a team of friends. The crucial part of the process is to shift your attention a little bit from it. Don't think just about grinding. And remember to not time yourself because it may get very frustrating. This is how it works, this is grinding. You can also find other interesting ways to handle the boredom.
I will mention a few simple rules for grinding in this wow leveling guide that you should burn into your memory, it will helps you to maximize the results. Always go for mobs that are 2-3 levels below your level. This way you inject significant amounts of damage. Incidentally, the damage you receive is not that big of a deal. Equally important, you experience low down time, which as you know is a key issue. It may seem that those small amounts of exp doesn't do you any good, but trust me, it adds up quickly. It may be tempting to go after higher level creatures, but they inflict higher amounts of damage and you know how it ends. Also when you have trouble finishing a quest because of the level you're at, just do what I have already mentioned above. 'Grind you way' to the desired level, finish the quest.
Choosing grinding path over questing often brings 'richer' rewards. As a result, you often find good materials, you earn more gold. Additionally, you have a better chance of getting rare drops. So you see that this is a good substitution for questing, but you have to know what you're doing. As a matter of fact, you can take it even further. After grinding to a certain level, you can do instances. And you will notice that in the end you end up with the same gear ( often better ) than you would if you chose questing. Moreover, often much faster.
Three types of grinding.
- Just grinding - this is where you go after single targets. Plus, you can take on some quests that don't intervene with the process. It's the most boring.
- AoE grinding or simply AoEing - it's significantly more fun, because you have more mobs to hack'n'slash. You can go after groups of them, plus some simple quests.
- Power AoEing - this is when you provide yourself with a support. Often it's a class that have healing ability. And thus you don't have to worry about your HPs or survivability in general. Without doubt this is the most entertaining and fastest type of grinding. It's also not that boring, as you have someone to talk to all the time. But remember, you are not partied with them. You just find someone to help you with grinding, this way you get all of the exp. And yes, the drawback is finding someone willing to help you.
There are people who think that today questing is the only reasonable way to fast leveling. They also say that grinding doesn't work anymore and it should stay in the past. However, there are also those who will tell you that grinding still gives substantial results. Well, they are both right. Right now you know how to use both of these leveling techniques to your advantage. But the only way for you to make sure is to use each one and pick the one best suited for you. Regardless of wow leveling guide that you use, remember that questing and grinding give measurable results.
